Sebastian sidi biography

Sebastian Sidi was born in the city of Montevideo, Uruguay. He then moved to Los Angeles, California at the age of 7 with his mother Miriam, father Eduardo and older brother Ernesto. 

Sebastian began his musical journey as a self-taught drummer at age 14. At 17 he began teaching himself to play guitar, bass and keyboards. He played drums for various types of bands, while at the same time developing his skills as a keyboardist. As his skills developed, he slowly merged into making keyboards his main instrument and main outlet of expression. Sebastian has never studied nor does he read a single note of music 

By age 22 he had already recorded his first instrumental CD “Prelude”. Today he has recorded 7 CDs and 3 “LIVE IN CONCERT” DVDs. Sebastian’s music is a blend of Classical Music with Rock, Latin, Jazz and New Age, creating an electrifying genre of its very own. Aside from creating many of his own original compositions, Sebastian delivers unique renditions, like you’ve never heard before, of some of your favorite classics such as Phantom of the Opera, My Heart Will Go On, 5th Symphony, Canon in D, Moonlight Sonata, Fur Elise, Time to Say Goodbye, Love Story and many others. 

Sebastian became a street performer at age 23 and has performed at every outdoor venue in Southern California, including Downtown Disney, Universal City Walk, Orange County Fair Grounds, Irvine Spectrum, The Citadel Outlets and many other well respected venues. 

In every life and in every career there are always major struggles and battles to fight. Sebastian’s fight was dealing with the loss of his best friend and mother, Miriam Sidi. Miriam passed away at age 54 from breast cancer. Miriam continues to inspire him every day and Sebastian’s main goal is for his friends and fans to get to know his mother thru his music. 

Today, Sebastian is a successful and accomplished performing artist. He has performed all over the country and currently headlines select cruise ships around the world. Sebastian produced and directed his own Documentary/Concert Special for Public Television entitled, “From Street to Center Stage”. This program captures the life and struggles Sebastian faced as a street performer and what it took to succeed thru the elements of marketing, booking and performing, along with interviews with people who have helped him along the way. 

Sebastian’s main focus in life is to share his music with as many people as possible. But most importantly, to inspire those around him.
